Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about Su-Kunst.

Getting started

What is Su-Kunst?

A social and professional platform for artists and creatives. You can share your work, follow other artists, message members, and find events and opportunities. Read more about us.

Is it free?

Yes. Creating an account and using the platform is free.

Who can join?

Anyone aged 13 or older who agrees to our Terms and Community Guidelines. Sign-ups may be paused now and then. If they are, the sign-up page will tell you.

What is the difference between an artist account and a user account?

An artist account is for people who make creative work and want to present it. A user account is for fans, collectors, organisers and supporters. Both can post, comment, follow and send messages.

Why do I need to verify my email address?

We send you a link to confirm the address is really yours. Depending on the platform settings, you may need to verify it before you can post, comment or send messages. Didn't get the email? Check your spam folder, then request a new one from the verification page.

I forgot my password. What do I do?

Use the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in page and we'll email you a link to reset it.

Posting and sharing

What can I post?

Text with up to 5 photos or videos per post, each up to 64 MB. Please only post work you made or have the right to share, and credit any collaborators.

Can I edit or delete my posts and comments?

Yes. Open the post or comment you wrote and use the edit or delete option.

Who can see what I post?

Posts, comments, events and opportunities are public, so visitors who aren't signed in can see them too, unless an administrator has made those pages members-only. Your email address and phone number are never shown publicly.

How do events and opportunities work?

Members can publish events (exhibitions, performances, workshops) and opportunities (jobs, commissions, calls for entry, collaborations). They come from members, so check the details before you pay or travel. If something looks like a scam, report it.

Messages and privacy

Are my messages private?

Messages are only visible to the people in the conversation and to platform administrators, who may read them when they investigate a report or a safety issue. They aren't end-to-end encrypted, so don't share passwords or financial details. See the Privacy Policy.

How do I report someone or something?

Follow the steps under How to report. We review every report within 24 hours.

Can I control the notifications I get?

Yes. Go to Settings → Notifications to choose which notifications you get by email and in your browser.

Can I use dark mode?

Yes. Go to Settings → Appearance.

The mobile app

Is there a mobile app?

Yes, there's an Android app, currently in preview. Sign in on the website, then open Get the App to download the latest build.

Why does Android warn me when I install it?

Preview builds are installed straight from our website rather than from the Play Store, so Android asks you to allow installs from your browser. Only download the app from our official Get the App page.

Is there an iPhone app?

Not yet. Until there is, the website works in any mobile browser.

Your account

How do I change my profile?
